Red Bull car for the 2011 Formula one season has been unveiled by World Champion Sebastian Vettel and team mate Mark Webber on Tuesday in a ceremony which was low-key.
As per report of the sources, Vettel and Webber took a blue cover off the RB7 model in the pit lane of the Valencia track before the start of the pre-season testing.
Last year, it was German Vettel who became the youngest F1 champion last year at the age of 23 after stealing the title from Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso in the last race. In the same event, Australia’s Webber came third on the championship and Red Bull also won the constructors’ title.
The Adrian Newey-designed RB7 is the car with which Germany’s Sebastian Vettel will defend his drivers’ title, lining up alongside Australian team mate Mark Webber for the third year in a row.
Also revealed early Tuesday morning in the Valencia pit lane were Red Bull’s sister team Toro Rosso’s new car, the STR6, to be raced by Sebastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari, and Mercedes’ MGP W02, the German team continuing with their line-up of Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher for 2011.
Title contenders McLaren and their former world champions Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton will unveil the 2011 model on Friday in Berlin. The first round of testing was due to start later on Tuesday ahead of the 20-race season from March 13 in Bahrain onwards.
