Samsung Corby TV Price in India: Corby TV and Metro TV in India

With the new Corby TV and Metro TV phones from Samsung, you can watch live TV and record content as well. This is first time in Indian where a mobile phone is going to be to introduced with such a great application.

Samsung’s Corby TV and Metro TV models are based on CDMA which comes with preloaded TV application. The application is called MimobiTV and it is being developed by Apalya Technologies. The phone will be available in both CDMA 1X and 3G networks. The application gives on-demand streaming TV of more than 40 channels.

Samsung Corby TV is 2.8 inch QVGA TFT display phone. It also has 2 mega pixel camera, 2.0 Bluetooth stereo FM radio and it is Open Market Handset (OMH) enabled. It supports up to 8GB microSD card slot. Corby TV supports streaming TV with both CDMA and EDVO 3G networks. Software upgrade is available for free. Price of Samsung Corby TV is Rs 9,699.

Samsung Metro TV has 2 inch TFT display, 2 mega pixel camera, stereo FM radio, Indian calendar, Bluetooth, advanced mobile tracker, SOS alert and dedicated music keys. It has nine regional languages supported. Metro TV is expandable up to 8GB microSD card slot and stores downloaded files directly to microSD card. Its streaming capacity is up to 2.4Mbps. Samsung Metro TV is available for Rs 6,999.

Tata Photon Plus offers Free Mobile TV subscription for three months with 15GB free data usage per month, up to 2 months for post-paid and two months on prepaid with 10GB data transfer free. So from the date of connection with a prepaid Tata Photon Plus, you can watch approximately about 100 hours of TV in two months for pre-paid and about 150 hours in two months for post-paid subscriber.

Reliance Mobile offers free Mobile TV connections for 2 months, up to 150GB data usage free per month, up to two months for post-paid and prepaid users can use 10GB data transfer for one month. So from the date of activation, prepaid subscriber can watch approximately 100 hours of TV in one month and postpaid subscriber can watch up to 150 hours of TV per month for two months.

These offers are available on both handsets. This data plan offers is available only up till June 30, 2010.

CDMA service providers Virgin Mobile and MTS India are in talk with Samsung to provide this amazing new feature.
