Samudra Mahal: Duplex in Samudra Mahal sold for Rs 36 crores. It is true that India is out of recession. And the perfect example seems to be the soaring real estate prices. In Mumbai, in the posh Samudra Mahal building at Worli, a duplex was sold for Rs 36 crores. The duplex was sold at an auction. The duplex was bought by a London based NRI.

The duplex belongs to ABN AMRO and is situated in Worli, one of the posh areas of Mumbai. The deal is brokered by  brokered by the London-headquartered real estate adviser, DTZ. The duplex is spread over a built-up area of 3,640 sq ft and has four bedrooms and two covered car parks. The building has a swimming pool, a children’s play area and a small football field.

The buyer is a wife of a late prominent banker who died a few years ago. The duplex is situated on the 19th and the 20th floor. The price of the flat is RS 99000 per sq feet and totally came up to 36 crores. Many of the residents are high profile businessmen and celebrities.
