Sourav Ganguly amidst mob, no injury reported

On Saturday night at around 10:30 pm ,when Sourav Ganguly along with his wife Dona and daughter Sana was driving home back after dinner they were trapped in a road blockade by the angry mob near Behala Chourasta who were protesting against an accident in the area which killed one youth on that evening.

Blinded by rage, they had become so violent that they were damaging every vehicle that came or tried to pass that blockade.

Under these circumstances, former captain’s car needed to clear the blockade. People thrashed hard at the bodyguard of Dada, Bivash Biswas when he tried to do the same. However, when he was badly beaten Dada got out of his car and came up very strongly with his unpopular diplomacy.

People were shocked to see their Dada in the car and repented for their mistake. The bodyguard was so brutally beaten that he was immediately hospitalized in the nearest hospital. Sourav’s driver gave chase and managed to catch one of them, who were later handed over to the police.  Sourav’s family was safe and none of them was hurt. The blockade was made clear within an hour and Dada himself drove less damaged BMW to home.

Trouble started on the lane leading to Sourav’s house when a trailer crushed a person in the evening on Saturday near Behla chourasta.This accident made the locals furious and they blocked the roads.

The situation within few hours came back to normal as police took the control over there.
