Srikrishna Committee Final Meeting ahead of submission of report

The final meeting of the Srikrishna Committee ahead of the submission of the report to the centre regarding the statehood of Telangana took place today and as per report of the sources, it is the speculation of the hour that the contents of the much awaited report has been finalized in the meeting.

Sources have reported that the meeting lasted for two hours in which five members participated at the Vigyan Bhavan. Moreover, the committee will call on Home Minister P Chidambaram later today and submit the report which will highlight the pros and cons of their Telangana state demand.

The Committee had assured public on Tuesday that the report will seek to give highest satisfaction to largest number of people.
In the wake of the meeting today, security in Andhra and especially in Telangana region has been beefed up and as per report of the sources nearly 50 companies of central paramilitary forces have been deployed in addition to the state police forces across the state.

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy reviewed the law and order situation with state Home Minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy, Director General of Police Aravinda Rao and other senior officials.

Earlier on Tuesday, while addressing a press conference, Justice Srikrishna had hoped that the report will bring the permanent solution to the problem. However, he did not go into the contents of the report and said that all political parties will welcome the report and maintain peace and harmony after the report will be handed to the Central government.
