Just two days before the big match of the World Cup series, the talks between India and Pakistan have been initiated as the secretaries of the two countries had their first round of meeting on Monday.
As per report of the sources, the talk will be held between the two neighbors who are always involved in fights for two days and the agenda of the meeting is the trust deficit between the two countries and secretary level talks after the preliminary discussions.
Earlier on Sunday, Pakistan Interior secretary Qamar Zaman Chaudhary arrived India to lead the delegation which is to visit the country before the India-Pakistan Semi final. The visiting delegation will hold talk with Indian delegation led by India’s Home Secretary G K Pillai.
Moreover, the Prime Ministers of the two nations are also expected to hold meeting before the match where they will be discussing bilateral issues following which Pakistan Prime Minister Gilani will join Singh to watch the Indo- Pak match.
However, sources have claimed that Gilani will be visiting Chandigarh on Wednesday and will not be coming to New Delhi for holding talks. They further refused to give further details about the programme which was yet to be finalized.
Earlier, Manmohan Singh had invited Gilani to watch the World Cup semis between India and Pakistan which was accepted by the Pakistani prime minister. Let’s see whether the more of cricket or diplomacy.
