Right now I am with Airtel 900 unlimited broadband plan and I was wondering if I should take the new Tata Photon Plus as I heard some good things about it here in Bangalore. But I am not sure what is the actual speed it is right now giving in Bangalore. I am writing this article so that if anyone is using Tata Photon Plus in Bangalore or Hyderabad, I would like to know the actual speed and connectivity.
I have already tried the BSNL EVDO service in Bangalore and the speed as well as connectivity really sucks in JP Nagar and HSR layout area (this were the two places in Bangalore that I have stayed during the time I was using BSNL EVDO). So, I would like to hear from someone who has actually used the Tata EVDO. Please share where in Bangalore you have used it and how is the connectivity and speed out there. Hope to hear from someone soon. Cheers guys.

I dont think it will be of much speed. I have also used the BSNL one and the speed is really bad. Downloads at about 3-4Kb/sec that also with disconnections in between.

Hi
Photon plus supports internet connections with data rates up to 2 Mbps (downlink from the network) and 1.8 Mbps (uplink to the network).
Average data rates are roughly 500 Kbps to 1 MBPS. Actual speed depends on the network conditions.
