With only 43 days left in the commencement of 2010 Commonwealth Games, star Tennis players- Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi, Rohan Bopanna and Somdev Devvarman have assured to participate in this Mega event in a fully fledged manner.

The star players reconsidered the yesterday’s headlines regarding their pull out of the Commonwealth Games over non-payment of their dues, on Friday.

According to the reports furnished by the HT correspondents  that the tennis players were planning to pull them out of the game because of the irregular payments made to them and blamed the  Sports Ministry for holding their dues of a total of about 2 crores that have been pending for the last two years.

Moreover, the players also showed their displeasure over prepatory facilities provided to them. They told that despite of government’s allocation of Rs 21 crores for the preparation of the Indian players, they were handed a low sum of Rs. 27000.

Earlier yesterday, with this decision of players the Sports Ministry was panicked and busy out at finding quick solutions after the player’s confrontation. However, the federation secretary, Mr Khanna, reported to the press that the players are fully satisfied with the pay made to them for the Davis Cup.

Well, the players had rose such a point as they are expected to drop their ATP tour which will make them to give up their four weeks of earnings and lose their ranking points. The Ministry has asked them to play for the pride of the nation and not to worry about their own interests.

The Commonwealth Games 2010 is scheduled from 3rd-14th Oct in New Delhi.
