Pakistan censor board has been shaken by film distributors and exhibitors as they filed an appeal for the release of the Indian movie “TERE BIN LADEN”, which was released on 16th July in India. The censor board has banned this movie in order to suppress any terrorist attacks in the cinema hall of the country.
The film is starred by Pakistani debutant Ali Zafar who has earned an ambitious repo as a pop star. His role of an over-determined television reporter who maneuvers his dexterity and uses an Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden’s lookalike as his ticket to US.
An official distributor, Nadeem Mandviwalla for the film in Pakistan said, “An appeal has been filed with the Appellent Board of the censor board and the decision has been promised by board by next week.”
“It is for sure that that the pirated copies of the movie will be available in the market very soon so not giving permission to screen the movie may not be right choice”, said Mr. Nadeem.
“Well, the non- availability of members has led to the delay of the appellate board decision”, said the secretary culture, Moeenul Islam Bukhari. Further he added, “We will decide on the appeal by next week”.
