WWE Royal Rumble 2011 Results: Alberto Del Rio wins 2011 Royal Rumble Match

WWE championship Royal Rumble 2011 was no less than ecstatic moment for its fan as the professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event saw for the first time in its history the participation of 40 professional fighters in place of 30.

The 24th Royal Rumble event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) took place on January 30, 2011 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

The pay-per-view featured the annual Royal Rumble match, which has been featured at every Royal Rumble event since its inception. The match ends when one wrestler remains in the ring, after all 39 other wrestlers have been eliminated via being tossed over the top ring rope and having both feet touch the floor.

The winner of the Royal Rumble gets a free pass to enter World Championship match of their choosing at WrestleMania XXVII.

The participating wrestlers name are as following- Alberto Del Rio, Big Show, Chris Masters, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Darren Young, David Hart Smith, David Otunga,Drew McIntyre, Ezekiel Jackson, Heath Slater, Husky Harris, Jack Swagger, John Cena, John Morrison, JTG, Justin Gabriel, Kane, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, Mason Ryan, Michael McGillicutty, Primo, R-Truth, Rey Mysterio, Santino Marella, Sheamus, Ted DiBiase, Tyson Kidd, Vladimir Kozlov, Wade Barrett, William Regal, Yoshi Tatsu and Zack Ryder.

In the singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship, Edge defeated Dolph Ziggler. The Miz won the WWE Championship by defeating Randy Orton.

For the WWE Divas Championship, Eve became victorious after defeating Natalya, Layla and Michelle McCool. Ultimately, it was Alberto Del Rio who won the 2011 Royal Rumble match by last eliminating Santino Marella.
