This problem started a few days back. My system started to hang for few seconds when I tried to open any file or copy any file or even right click any file. The problem is very random and it will appear suddenly out of nowhere! But sometimes it automatically goes.
I actually have tried many things but finally I got the solution from here.
It turns out that I have set the system sleep time to a very low value. I have changed it to never and did a system chkdsk and then it started working fine now, at least for the last two days the problem is not seen.
So, if your system also hangs for few seconds when you try to open a file or when you right click a file or when you try to copy paste, then check the system hibernation and sleep time setting. If it is set, just changed it to Never and the problem should be solved. Hope it helped. Cheers.
