Yamla Pagla Deewana review and ratings

The Deols are back with the bang after movie Apne in which they appeared together but this time with the comedy flick in their character. The movie Yamla Pagla Deewana hit the silver screen today on 14th January on the auspicious day of Makar Sakranti and is likely to get added to the list Masala entertainers of bollywood like Dabangg and Golmaal 3.

The movie is all about Sunny’s (Paramveer) journey into his past and into a culture that he had left behind. After twenty years he finds that he has a father and brother in Varanasi, India. He comes to India to find his estranged father Dharam Singh (Dharmendra) and brother Gajodar Singh (Bobby Deol), who are now the biggest thugs in Banaras. However, Dharam and Gajodhar accept him only to use his muscle power in their unscrupulous activities.

Meanwhile, Gajodhar finds himself in love with Punjabi kudi (debutante Kulraj Randhawa). Their romance blossoms, but all’s not hunky-dory as her brothers forcibly taker her away to Punjab. Now, Paramveer comes up with a plan to re-unite the much-in-love couple and they head to Punjab where confusion, drama, action and trouble await.

The director of the movie Samir Karnik has included some good laugh out loud moments but most of the humour is earthy and pretty silly. Each one gets to do everything – comedy, fights, item numbers and for good measure, a few emotional scenes as well.

The movie is not less than a laugh riot and will definitely lighten up your mood. So you can enjoy the movie.
