Youth Icon of Kerala 2010 Poll Result: Asin Thottumkal

Asin Thottumkal better known as Asin who has worked on many movies in different languages like Telugu, Tamil, her mother tongue Malayalam and now in Hindi, has been voted as youth icon of Kerala after 15 long days of public voting. With many big personalities of south in the nominations, she was awarded by a little girl about 7-8 years old for whom the actress has been a big inspiration. The actress later donated the cash prize to a hospital.

Born in a Syrian Catholic family in Kochi, Kerala, Asin made her acting debut in “Narenda Makan Jayakanthan Vaka” in 2001 at the age of 15. In the year 2003, she won the Best Actress Award (Telugu Filmfare Award) and after that she bag many more awards including Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for her role in “Ghajini”, the hindi remake of one of her best Tamil films. The southern beauty is now busy with many upcoming projects, one with Bollywood Hunk Salman Khan directed by Anees Bazmee.
